“The man at the top of the mountain didn’t fall there.” –Vince Lombardi
Your climb to the top will not be easy ask anyone successful who has overcome great heights to get where they are. If it was truly easy than you would see more people successful. It’s a whole lot easier to bitch about your circumstances than to actually do something about it. Do you honestly think that you will not face any obstacles on the way to the top? You’ll experience all sorts of stuff from people taking advantage of you, haters and naysayers, dream killers, self-doubt, long nights, and you will feel hopeless at times. You will start to question whether this is the right path for you. It’s easy to fall off this path and go down the path of least resistance. It takes courage to say the hell with it, I’m going after my dreams and not afraid of what will happen on the way. It’s a whole lot easier to talk about your dreams than to actually take massive action.
Action is what separates the greats from average. Don’t be afraid to go for it and go against what everyone else is telling you to. There’s enough people giving out their free advice, yet ignore all the noise. The ones who are giving out advice haven’t achieved shit and are trying to build themselves up. They are reliving their glory days of how they could have been a somebody if they didn’t quit. There’s plenty of those people out there talking a big game yet their insecurities are spewing right out of them. Don’t let insecure people throw their insecurities on you.
Goal setting turns a dream into a reality. You can’t hit a target when you have nothing to aim at. THINK BIG! Average people are intimidated by the big thinkers because their minds are so small that all they can do is hate. Be so determined and driven that you have tunnel vision focus. You should not even need an alarm clock to wake you up in the morning. Your “WHY” should be the internal tick for getting you up day after day. Set yourself up for success by having a plan! We don’t plan to fail yet fail to plan. Don’t fall into the footsteps of laziness and make up excuses for why you can’t plan out your journey to the top.
You’ve heard of S.M.A.R.T goals from the average person. Set a goal that is realistic. Give me a break. Set a goal so big that everyone has thinks you are crazy!! Like Grant Cardone says in his book 10x about setting goals so big that even if you miss you’ll land at a higher level than setting that average goal. Average does not get you to the top. There is so much stuff out there about setting goals and all these ways to achieve them. You can read all day you want on it, but what matters is getting up and getting after IT! Get yourself a goal book, and plan out the year. Plan the next 6 months, and how you will get to your mark. 6 months of consistency can put you two years ahead, do not let underestimate yourself.
Do not wait to get after it. I want you to take action right now. Get off the couch and unsubscribe from all the bullshit excuses in your mind, and the television. Don’t let another day go by without getting to work on your goals. SEE YOU AT THE TOP.
