“You are not going to find anybody that’s going to be successful without making sacrifice and perseverance.” –Lou Holtz
The word sacrifice comes before success in the dictionary. Sacrifice is apart of the plan to achieve success. Quitting is easy to do. It involves no effort nor work to quit. Once you start learning to quit on things it becomes a habit. Stop quitting. Once you dedicate yourself to something finish what you started. Find a way to go through, above, or around the obstacle but whatever you do not give up. Hang in there and finish the job.
You build confidence from setting a goal and accomplishing that goal. You can never feel proud of yourself knowing that you quit. For all you know your wildest dreams could be achieved by persevering and refusing to give up. Imagine if Michael Jordan had quit after he was cut from his high school basketball team or Steve Jobs had quit after he was fired from his own company.
The problem we face today is that when we feel any ounce of pain we quit. Go through the pain don’t let it crumble you. There will be good days and bad ones but you must make each day its own masterpiece. Chances are that you will have more bad days than good ones when you are going after a big goal. Ignore all the critics and haters as you will be faced with plenty of those going after your dreams. As Zig Ziglar said, “Don’t let someone who gave up on their dreams talk you out of going after yours.”
Make a vow and commitment to yourself that you will never quit again on anything or yourself. Nobody owes you shit. Go out and earn it.
