In order to cure this disease, it’s going to take a whole of house cleaning of what lies between your two ears. Imagine getting to the end of your life and looking over your grave knowing how much time you wasted in life with worthless tasks that do not contribute to your life or help you succeed. I will share with your useful tips to destroy your excuses and to end laziness.
Do you find that you’re getting in the way of your own goals? Are you struggling to get things done? According to studies, the average millionaire completes the most important tasks for the day before 10 am. It starts with waking up early and putting your head down and getting to work. Do not go to social media as soon as you wake up and check what everyone else is doing. Focus on the mission you have in place for the day. Control what lies in front of you for the given 24 hours. Break the day down. It starts with putting one foot in front of the other. I personally write out my day and goals before the day even begins. My mind is working the night before of what I have planned for the day and what I will accomplish.
Here’s how you can get more out of your time:
Step 1: Accomplish one task at a time
Bite the biggest frog for the day. That’s right. Do the hardest tasks for the day as soon as you wake up. Discipline equals freedom. Disciplining yourself to get the job done when you first get up will eliminate any doubt about the future.
Step 2: Eliminate Overthinking
Getting stuck in between your two ears can drive you crazy. Get out of your head and focus in on the present moment. Mindfulness is a great tool to use to keep your mind from wondering all around. Free yourself from getting attached to your thoughts. Your thoughts lead to words and then action. Be self-aware and focus on what is in front of you.
Step 3: Take Breaks
After you accomplish one task then take a five-minute break. It’s better to not put so much stress and pressure on yourself. Take a walk, crank out some push-ups, get a snack do what you need to do.
Step 4: Staying in the present moment
We are constantly thrown distractions our way. Yet, instead of allowing yourself to fall victim to the distractions discipline yourself from getting sucked into them. Put your phone away, do not check emails, and focus strictly on what you are working on. Remaining in the present moment will eliminate you from getting distracted by anything else.
Step 5: Consistency
Once your break time is over it’s time to get back to work. Dial in on completing the next task. Gain so much momentum forward that you find yourself winning every single moment of the day. Break down each hour into minutes. Stay laser focused and if you accomplish all your goals for the day then raise your standards!
I know that if you will incorporate these tools into your life you will take your game to the next level. It’s up to you on how bad you want it.
